Email: (Preferred method of communication.) I try to return all emails in a timely fashion. Please do not feel slighted if my response is a single sentence or even one word. The number of emails I receive per day sometimes precludes a detailed response Required Materials: th Edition, Wiley. Note that the new edition reflects changes in U.S. GAAP . The 4 th edition is out-dated, obsolete, and wrong in some cases. Prerequisites: ACCT 301, with a grade of at least "C,” Change in ACCT 301 Requirement as Upper Division Prerequisite. Effective Fall 2011, the prerequisite for any class that includes ACCT 301 is ACCT 301 with a grade of at least “C.” (The grade requirement has been increased from a “C-“ to a “C.”) Class Objective The objective of this class is to provide a comprehensive treatment of the theory and practice of financial reporting for governments and non-profit organizations. Coverage of special topics. Class Format Instruction will be primarily through lecture and discussion. Students are expected to read the lecture material prior to class and participate in classroom discussions. Students are responsible for material discussed in class even if it is not discussed in the textbook. Please bring the book to class.
