Professional Disclosure Statement
W. Bryce Hagedorn is an assistant professor of Counselor Education at the University of
Central Florida. He received his Doctorate of Philosophy in Counseling and Counselor
Education, with an emphasis in Community Counseling, from the University of North Carolina
at Greensboro. He holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University
of Central Florida. Dr. Hagedorn is licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of
Florida, is a National Certified Counselor, and a Master Addictions Counselor. He is a
member of the American Counseling Association as well as several national and state
divisions of mental health counseling and counselor education and supervision.
Dr. Hagedorn has training and experience in individual, couples, group, and family
counseling. This training and experience includes clients in age ranges from adolescence
through adulthood in a variety of therapeutic settings, to include private practice, community
mental health clinics, inpatient/outpatient hospitals, intensive outpatient programs, and
college counseling centers.
This has afforded him the opportunity to work with a variety of
multicultural clients and client issues, to include chemical and process addictions (i.e.
compulsions with sex, food, gambling, exercise, etc.), mental illness (e.g., depression,
anxiety, schizophrenia, etc.), crisis intervention, interpersonal dynamics, parenting, self-
esteem work, and stress management.
He can provide supervision in these general areas.
