Smith 1 Danny Smith Professor Monteon Dimension of Culture 1 November 19st, 2010 The World House In “Selections from Where Do We Go From Here? The World House,” Martin Luther King Jr argues that the effects of globalization have created a toll on the harmony and accord of the human society. King believes with the fast paced improvements in scientific and technologic fields, there are three major obstacles that the world has to overcome together; poverty, racism, and war. King also argues that “the richer we have become materially, the poorer we have become morally and spiritually.” (237) He claims and shown through historical examples that the Western Civilization has completely ignored their founding belief of the moral bastions and social justice, most of the time the western civilizations impose their will on the third world country in frustration, leaving the country crippled and demoralized.
