The Fénix Foundation bid RD$14 million and won the first of the properties, whose bidding began at RD$13 million. The properties include one residence in the upscale sector Los Cacicazgos; and a third floor condo in nearby Mirador Norte, bought for RD$3.5 million by its longtime tenants. Yesterday’s auction of Paulino’s assets earned a total of RD$105 million, with several more properties still to be sold, including a gas station and a large farm. Overview Some of the properties bought by Quirino Paulino, a renowned case of a high official related to drug trafficking, were recently sold by the National Assets Agency (BN). The auction raised a total of RD$105 million and there are still some properties left to be auctioned. Opinion It is very interesting to see how properties that used to belong to corrupt Dominican functionaries are now being auctioned in order to raise some money. I wonder what will the sate
