The hotelier stated the concern of the sector leaders in the Caribbean, the world region that most depends on tourism, but which has lost one million visitors since 2008. Sanguinetti spoke in a press conference of the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE 2011), in which the CHTA launched a campaign to showcase tourism importance for the Caribbean region’s societies, accompanied by CHTA vice president Alberto Abreu and Membership Development director George Mercado.
