Luxury is known to be the state of great comfort and extravagant living. We all know that in some way or the other, almost every human being in the world wants to live a luxurious life. We all have to admit that living in luxury is a rather comforting and surreal way to live. The problems that middle class and even lower-high class citizens seem to fade to those who enjoy the luxurious life of the higher class. Sarah Jane Gilbert wrote an article that seeked to analyze and finally conclude if luxury really has any effect on human cognition and decision-making. Throughout the article the author gave out several examples ranging from whether a business meeting takes place in a fancy hotel or in a simple office, to executives sorting out words from a pile of letters.
