Project Management Final Exam Study Guide Definitions: Crashing: A technique used for making cost and schedule trade-offs to obtain the greatest amount of schedule compression for the least incremental cost. Blog: Web site on which an individual or group of users produces an ongoing narrative Deliverable: is a product or service produced or provided as part of a project. Fast Tracking: A schedule compression technique where you do activities in parallel that you would normally do in sequence. Groupthink: The conformance to the values or ethical standards of a group. Key Performance Indicators (KP!): A criterion used to determine the degree to which an outcome is achieved. Murphy’s Law: If something can go wrong, it will. Multi-tasking: When a resource works on more than one task at a time. Parkinson’s Law: The amount of work expands in order to fill the time allowed. Process: A series of actions directed toward a particular result Program: a group of projects managed in a coordinated way to obtain benefits and control not available from managing them individually.
