Types of Leaders: Assigned:  elected to carry the task, like a CEO of a company. Emergent:  someone with more knowledge than the rest, is recognized as a  leader. 5 Kinds of Leaders: Referent : a role-model, someone people identify with, able to influence you in  some way. Expert : specific knowledge about a subject, for what he knows you will listen to  him. Legitimate : Elected, risen to that power legally. Reward:  Power to offer rewards. Coercive : Power to give punishments. 5 Personality Traits of Leaders  Neuroticisms  (self-centered) Extraversion (being open) Openness (being “open”)
