Joe Wallace Ace Community Service The organization I chose to research about is called the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. This organization helps to mentor the youth all across the United States. They help with kid’s ages 6 to 18 and work to try and maximize the potential of each maturing kid. There are many facts I found on the web site that I felt were very impressive towards the program. Kids that join Big Brothers Big Sisters are 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs, 27% less likely to begin using alcohol, and 52% less likely to skip school. These facts show that the program really helps and is a great way to get out and help the community. To be able to help a young child develop and see them mature would be an incredible experience to be apart of. All that is required of a Big is to merely hang out with their kid and do things such as shoot hoops or play board games.
