Joe Wallace English 101 Professor Wilson 12/13/07 Reflective Letter I would like to start out my letter by saying that I enjoyed taking this class this semester I was very happy with my own progress as a writer. I had a chance to write about things that I was interested in and I felt that helped me stay focused on my paper. Not only did I want to write a good paper to get the grade I wanted, I started to write for my own satisfaction and to prove to myself that I can be a good writer. The paper that I have decided not to showcase is the memoir, the first one of the year. I think there are several reasons why I chose not to showcase this one in particular. One being that like you pointed out in class, I have lost some of my emotional attachment to it. It has been so long since I have looked at it and I just don’t feel the same about it as I did earlier in the year. I also believe that my other papers are somewhat better than the memoir that I wrote. I also think that due to the fact that it was my first paper of the year
