Please pick something of interest out of the chapter and tell me about it. Did you like or dislike it? Why do you think it is important to your learning of humanities? I DO NOT want a summary of the chapter reading. If you turn in a summary I will count it as a zero. The classical arts are a strange assortment of art to me. To begin with, the sculptors of naked people are a weird concept to me. I can understand what it signifies, but I cannot understand why you would make it. It is just vulgar to me.

Unformatted text preview: However, it does give us something to speculate on toward the cultures of that time. I did enjoy some of the architecture of that time. Buildings and temples were beautifully crafted with a great deal of art added into the design. The one mentioned in the chapter looks to have been the modal for some of the things that have been built here in the US. One of which being our very own Lincoln memorial. It was a good chapter. I just didn’t get into it as much, but that is because I don’t have a large interest in art. I like to draw, sculpt, and paint; but after a short period I grow almost bored with art....
