I found it interesting that the Chinese empire was actually growing at the same time the Roman Empire was, and they both had many similarities. Unformatted text preview: life in general. They were the book of changes, history, songs, rites, the spring and autumn annals. The one that I believe I would like the most would probably be the book of changes, a text for divination. Also, the architectural building of the Great Wall of China impressed me. It must of taking some of the people a lifetime to complete. It also must have been a fatal job for some of the 700,000 people who had taken to doing it, since the tools for that would seem almost crude compared to what we have. China has done many wonders. This chapter, I assume, only lists just a handful of the many feats this country has done. I think it kind of funny that while Rome was building up its empire, China was mimicking them....
