Please pick something of interest out of the chapter and tell me about it. Did you like or dislike it? Why do you think it is important to your learning of humanities? I DO NOT want a summary of the chapter reading. If you turn in a summary I will count it as a zero. What is the neatest thing about art is that every form that comes out of each culture reflects that certain culture’s identity and belief. With the asian art, it reflects how they are a spiritual and intelligent people. Even their philosophy shows an emphasis on their natural harmony and the unity of all living things, which is the view of their religions.

Unformatted text preview: They all made valuable contribution to their society. The one contribution that I thought was the most successful was the Chinese literati, which were the scholar officials. I say that because all culture needs a set of scholars to write down history, interpret history, and find the truth in history. Also, I believe that these asian people actually drew the first cartoon characters. Most of these paintings are cartoonish when looked at. For example, the painting that is on page 341 has the man look just like one of the Chinese cartoons I grew up with. I liked seeing this chapter mainly because the asian art was extremely interesting to observe. I also thought it was nice how this art was cleaner in the since that they were mainly all clothed....
