TOPHAM AND HERGENRETHER 2 especially hurting and broken people. They are so vulnerable and delicate and I want to help all of them to become strong and independent. However, while I do have this passion for helping, I also have an unconditional love for my family. When I have children, I want to be able to stay at home and raise them until they go to school. Needless to say, I want a job that is very flexible, once I have kids, yet allows me to help those in need. Therefore, I chose to interview Glade Topham a Marriage and Family Therapist and Beth Hergenrether an Adoption Specialist. Glade Topham attended Brigham Young University to acquire a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Relations and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Next he went on to Texas Tech University to pursue a Ph. D. in Marriage and Family Therapy. Currently, Dr. Topham is both an Assistant Professor, Coordinator of the MFT program at OSU, and a Marriage and Family Therapist at Oklahoma State University. To contact Dr. Topham, his phone number is (405)-744-8356 and his email is glade.topham@okstate.edu. Beth Hergenrether went to the University of Oklahoma. She wanted to become a doctor so she pursued a degree in Biochemistry. After graduation, she decided not to go the medicine route but decided to stay on the helping route. So, she decided to work at the Department of Human Services in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ms. Hergenrether started out as a Child Welfare worker, but is currently working as Adoption Specialist. Everyday for Dr. Topham is different, that is one of the things that he loves. He normally will teach a class, either graduate or undergraduate. Next he may have some regular clients to see in the clinic, so he will

Right now he is working with Melanie Page, Laura Hubbs- Tait, Julie Rutledge, Tay Kennedy, Lenka Shriver, and Amanda Harrist on a research project having to do with childhood obesity.
