Ch. 5 Reliability- consistency or stability of a measure of behavior True Score- Real Score on the measure Measurement error Unreliable measure will yield a low true score and a high measurement error A Reliable measure will yield a high true score and a low measurement error Test-Retest Reliability- Take measure two times; correlation of score at time one with score at time two; reliable scores will be similar Internal Consistency Reliability- Split half reliiability: Correlation of total score on half of test with score on other half; Cronbach Alpha: correlation of each item on test with every other item Iterrater reliability- Extent to which raters agree in their observations Construct validity- the adequacy of the operational definition. Does the measure measure what it is intended to measure? Face validity- The content of the measure appears to reflect the construct being measured Content Validity- the content of the measure is linked to the universe of content that defines the construct Predective validity- scores on the measure predict behavior on a criterion measured at a time in the future Concurrent validity- scores on the measure are related to a criterion measured at the same time Convergent validity- scores on the measure are related to other measures of the same construct Discriminant validity- scores on the measure are not related to other measures that are theoretically different (pg. 97-99)

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
