Santa Fe Community College Aviation Sciences – Professional Pilot Program ____________________________ Instructions for Flight Training The flight training portion of the Aviation Science, Private Pilot Program is now approved and operational. This memo explains the process you need to follow in order to register, complete and get credit for the training towards your degree and your FAA License. I. Private Pilot I (ATF 1110) This training covers primary (dual) flight training from the beginning to the point of your first solo flight. It includes an approved FAA Ground School. Costs for this training are estimated between $2,320.00 and $3,400.00 depending on the airplane flown, actual hours required and cost for the ground school. Tuition for ATF 1110, one semester hour credit, is required. II. Private Pilot II (ATF 1111) This training covers the second portion of the private pilot flight training, from your solo flight through to the FAA checkride. Costs for this training are estimated between $1,520.00 and $2,650.00
