TDHT 21 Fall 2010       Professor  Roxworthy Final Paper Prompt Write 6-7 pages on one of the following topics. Do not write a paper about the same play or  performance tradition you discussed in your first paper. Use the same formal guidelines as the  first paper, with the addition of a bibliography or works cited page that includes your reference  works both from assigned course texts and outside research (discussed in detail below). Your  paper is due in our final exam slot: Friday, December 10, at 8:00 a.m.   Topic #1: You might prefer this topic if you are more comfortable with “close reading” (i.e. analyzing a  play text) and want to do less outside research. Select one of the plays we have read this quarter that prominently features ghosts or other  supernatural/superhuman characters. Construct an interesting, debatable argument about what this  theatricalized “ghost story” tells us about the ancient or medieval society in question. In order to  satisfy the requirements of this paper topic you must: Analyze at least three (3) examples and/or moments from the play that demonstrate the  dramatic
