Grading Scale, Second Writing Assignment Summer 2011 Assignments that are incomplete will not be accepted, and will be considered late until they have all required components. In order to be considered complete, an assignment must include the following: Observations that have been taken from scholarly sources Photocopies of all sources used, correctly highlighted and labeled A complete list of works cited D-range assignment (characterized by one or more of the following): Observations or questions refer to people or phenomena that existed or occurred outside the period covered in MMW3 Proposes only one research question Sources are not all scholarly Photocopies/printouts are not highlighted correctly Uses no sources besides assigned course readings C-range assignment (characterized by one or more of the following): Questions are not supported by both observations and explanation Observations and/or explanations contain factual inaccuracies Does not provide in-text citations for all observations
