Grading Scale, Third Writing Assignment Summer 2011 Assignments that are incomplete will not be accepted, and will be considered late until they have all required components. In order to be considered complete, an assignment must include the following: A completed prospectus template A clearly stated research question and thesis Photocopies of all sources cited, correctly highlighted and labeled A complete list of works cited D-range assignment (characterized by one or more of the following): The question, thesis, and/or supporting evidence refer to people or phenomena that existed or occurred outside the period covered in MMW3 Sources are not all scholarly Does not include a journal article among the sources Photocopies/printouts are not highlighted correctly C-range assignment (characterized by one or more of the following): Sources are not cited within the prospectus Thesis is supported neither by evidence nor by explanation Evidence and/or explanations contain factual inaccuracies
