Katherine saw Fred leaving with her figurine, so she pulled out hatchet, and hit Fred in the leg, wounding him. a. For what tort would Katherine likely sue Fred? Katherine would likely sue Fred for intentional inflection of emotional distress. This probably caused emotional as well as financial pain to Katherine. b. For what tort would Fred likely sue Katherine? Fred would likely sue Katherine for battery. Due to Katherine’s harmful act of wounding Fred’s leg which was the result of a harmful, offensive physical act intentionally performed against Fred c. What defense would Katherine claim for Fred’s suit against her? Katherine’s defense regarding Fred’s suit against her would be intention infliction of emotional distress. Which intern caused her to act in an extreme and outrages conduct towards Fred.
