EE-331 Devices and Circuits 1 Homework 5 Winter 2011 Due in class on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Problem 1: Problems 3.76(a,b) and 3.77(a,b) on p. 140 of Jaeger and Blalock. Work only circuits (a) and (b) for both problems. Finding the Q-points means finding all of the unknown node voltages and branch currents in each of the circuits. Problem 2: Problem 3.83 on pp. 140-141 of Jaeger and Blalock. Problem 3: Problem 3.86(a,b) on p. 141 of Jaeger and Blalock. Problem 4: Problem 3.95(a,b,c,d,e) on pp. 141-142 of Jaeger and Blalock. Problem 5: Problem 3.100(a,b,c,d,e) on p. 142 of Jaeger and Blalock. Since the ripple is small, the linear approximations of the textbook can be used in this case. Express all of the answers in proper engineering units and prefixes (p,n, µ ,m,k,M, etc.). Problem 6: Problem 3.101 on p. 142 of Jaeger and Blalock.
