Psychological abuse of women after marriage in third world countries In the third world countries there is a lot of population and some old traditions prevail which govern the marriage culture. On top of all there is a rule for dowry where the bride's parents have to give expensive gifts and a lot of money along with their daughter so that the man agrees to marry her. This is a major curse. Those who cannot afford to give dowry, their daughters do not get married. Those who do give it, their in laws curse them for not bringing enough money and therefore the girl has to face insult all her life. The

Aim of the in laws from first day is to crush her self respect so that she becomes mute and loses self respect. Later they can use her for asking favors from her parents (black mailing) and make her do all their work. In modern cases, they let the bride do a job to show the World how open minded they are and then snatch her salary for their own good. So many women suffer from depression, insecurity, misery, complex etc because of such laws....
