Taarika George Period F Biology 10/20/04 Essays 1. Question: Make a chart showing the difference between DNA and RNA. Differences DNA contains one less oxygen molecule. RNA has a one stranded structure. DNA has a double stranded helix structure. RNA has uracil nucleotides and DNA has thymine nucleotides. RNA contains the sugar ribose and DNA contains deoxyribose. There are three types of RNA in cells. The number and arrangement of nucleotides vary in RNA and DNA. In DNA, each of the four nucleotides contains a deoxyribose, a phosphate group and one of the four bases: guanine, cytosine, thymine or adenine. Similarities They are both located in the nucleus of cells. They carry genetic information.
