Kuchenbecker % October 14, 2007 % Description % ----------- % This script performs error analysis on measurements of the mass hung on a % solid rod and the corresponding deflections to enable calculation of % stiffness from a single measurement. Students should insert % their own data in the vector d and the variable Delta_d so they can see % how experimental error propagates through the calculations. Students % add their own expressions for the vectors k and Delta_k, based on error % analysis. The script provdes a place for students to insert their % expression for Young's modulus, E, and it computes the associated error, % Delta_E.
