2 The Department of Health and Human Service’s Center for Disease Control and Preventions HIV Partner Counseling and Referral Services has suggested that Most new HIV infections originate from HIV-infected persons not yet aware of Their infection. They also emphasizes the need to identify HIV-infected persons And link them to medical, prevention and other services soon after they become Infected. They have developed one strategy which is known as the partner Counseling and referral services or PCRS and it includes partner notification or PN. The purpose of PCRS is to help HIV-infected persons notify their partners Of their exposure to HIV.
