Topic 12, Exercise 1 Initial Public Offerings Initial public offerings are one of the more exciting areas of finance, so let us take a look at a few recent IPO's. Go to and link to the IPO Center from the menu in the left margin of the homepage. Bloomberg's IPO Center provides the latest information on recent IPO offerings, information on the companies involved, and a chance to review the latest trends in IPO valuation. 1. Review the IPO Center contents and links, and then scroll down to the listing of the most recent IPO companies. Select two companies: one which has increased significantly in price since its offering and another that has not done well since the offering. Click the stock symbol and provide a brief description of the company and summarize the recent press releases of each company. Review the "More on …." links at the upper right of the company page, especially the Company News and Customized Chart. What factors may be related to the stock price performance of the companies since their initial offering? The Bloomberg IPO Center site provides students a real time look at the companies
