Scarlett Hood 8/30/11 ENGR 1111 Introduction to Engineering HW #1 My name is Scarlett Hood and I grew up and currently live in the small town of Guthrie, Oklahoma. My family and I live on 160 acres and raise cattle. The 160 acres have been in our family since the 1889 Land Run. My family homesteaded it and managed to keep in the family to date and I will most likely end up inheriting it in the future. In my family, I have my mom, my dad, my younger sister, and finally, my younger brother. I am the oldest child. My sister is 15 years old and my brother is 7 years old. We have 2 cats and 20 guineas that we pin up and let out every day. Other than that, we have many cows; this summer one of the cows had twins. They were both black and one of them had a white star on its forehead, so we therefore called the girl with the star on its forehead, “star”, and his sister, “burst”. I went to high school at Classen School of Advanced Studies in Oklahoma City. Commuting from Guthrie to Oklahoma City everyday was not easy, but it was worth it to go to
