The montage of LaMotta’s colored home films with his family mixed with his rise through the boxing ranks really show the excitement and love that is taking place in his life. This contrasts with his downfall in the rest of the film. 7. What were some of the major actions or events in the film? Jake can no longer control his paranoia and emotions and beats up his brother Joey and punches his wife Vicky in the face. LaMotta is taken to jail for an underage 14 year old girl being in his night club. This ruins his business to go along with all of the relationships he has
