LAB 3 BLACKBOARD NOTES REMEMBER THIS People mess this up every year. Their data makes no sense and they get lots of points off. Don’t let that happen to you!!!!!! I. What You Measure in Lab LARGE WIND TUNNEL - HAWT SMALL WIND TUNNEL - VAWT Downstream: get P stag|trans and P static|trans profiles from height h = 30 cm to h = 39 cm in 1 cm increments for each of the five frequencies. That is 100 measurements total. Downstream : get P stag|trans and P static|trans profiles from height h = 11 cm to h = 15 cm in 1 cm increments for frequencies from 0 to 16 Hz when the wind turbine is moving. *Also note the cut-in frequency where the wind turbine starts to move.* Upstream: get P stag|trans and P static|trans at one point far from the turbine for each of the five frequencies. This will relate to your freestream velocity. Upstream: These data will be posted/given to you. This will relate to your freestream velocity. Anywhere: get current I for each of the five frequencies.

What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
