McLaughlin 102 la négation Introduction La n é gation verbale se fait avec  n(e)  et  pas point  ou une particule : Un d é terminant ( aucun, nul ) Un pronom ( personne, rien, aucun, nul ) Un adverbe ( aucunement, nullement, gu è re, plus, que ) Ne…pas La structure la plus fr é quente est  ne  V  pas  (e.g. je ne viens pas). Si le verbe est un infinitif,  ne  et  pas  se placent  ensemble avant l’infinitif ( je pr é f è re ne pas le voir ). Ne…gu è re Ne…gu è re  est l’ é quivalent de ‘hardly / scarcely’ en anglais ( cela n’est gu è re possible = that is hardly likely ; je n’ai  gu è re d’argent = I have hardly any money ).
