Module Objectives:       Upon completion of the study of this module, the student is expected    to: 1. Define enema. 2. Identify purposes of administering an enema.  3. Compare the various types of enema’s including action in the body and uses       including: Hypotonic Isotonic Hypertonic Soap Oil retention 4. Discuss adverse effects that can occur with enema administration. 5. Dem0nstrate the procedure of administering a low volume enema and a high        volume cleansing enema.    6. Demonstrate documentation of the procedure.    7. Discuss the symptoms of a fecal impaction.    8. Discuss measures utilized in removal of the impacted stool.  Learning Activities:   1.  Review module objectives.
