Performance Checklist for Handwashing        1. Stands in front of sink without clothing touching the sink during washing.          2. Turn on water and adjusts water force and temperature and then wets the hands and wrist area  so that the flow of water drains downward from the fingertips b. Back of hands  c. In between fingers-web areas d. Palms e. Each finger individually f. Nails        5. Rinses the hands under running water so that the soap drains from the forearm to the fingertips  (clean to dirty)        6. Uses a fresh dry paper towel, wiping from the wrist toward the fingertips when drying each hand        7. Disposes wet paper towels into proper container        8. Dispenses soap using about 1 teaspoon of liquid soap from dispenser.        4. Washes hands using mechanical friction and circular motions to lather the soap: a. Wrists b. Back of hands  c. In between fingers-web areas d. Palms e. Each finger individually f. Nails        5. Rinses the hands under running water so that the soap drains from the forearm to the fingertips  (clean to dirty)        6. Uses a fresh dry paper towel, wiping from the wrist toward the fingertips when drying each hand        7. Disposes wet paper towels into proper container        8. Turns off the faucet using dry  paper towel
