Yvette Yvette enjoyed visiting the Learning Lab. She signed up for tutoring appointments every week. During the appointments, however, she never wanted to do any work. She told the tutors about her family, her friends, and her future. When the tutor asked Yvette to answer a question, she changed the subject to financial aid or her rent problems. She didn't want to talk about her class subjects, but she would talk about her classmates and complain about the teacher. Briefly explain how you, as a tutor, would try to get Yvette back on track. Would you like to make your own recommendation and add it to the list of comments Read what the Learning Lab has suggested? Read what other tutors have recommended? Your comments will be e-mailed to Dr. Jay Howard, Professor, Learning Lab, who may include your comments in the list of tutor recommendations. Identification
