Byron Hussie Lab Assignment November 16, 2002 Corrections within the text of the paper below will be parenthetically and in bold face. The Seer Nostradamus For thousands of years ordinary people have had visions of the future. There are many accounts of incidents involving prophecies through history. One of the most famous seers of the future was Michel de Nostradamus. He is (was) one of the most accurate prophets. He was a French physician and astrologer. He predicted the death of King Henry II. Also, he predicted the French Revolution and the death of John F. Kennedy (missing period) (This introductory paragraph is not lacking in content, however stylistically it comes off as being choppy. A possible remedy to this problem would be to combine some of the sentences such that the paragraph doesn’t simply sound like a list. For example: “A French physician and astrologer by trade, Nostradamus was one of the most accurate prophets, having accurately predicted the deaths of King Henry II and John F. Kennedy, and the occurrence of the French revolution.”) First of all, Nostradamus prophesied the death of King Henry II. He wrote: "the young lion would overcome the old one in combat; he will pierce his eyes through a golden cage and two wounds made one, then he will die a cruel death". Everything Nostradamus said happened.
