C489 Task 3A1.The countries healthcare systems I have chosen to compare are the United States and Japan.A2.The U.S. residents receive healthcare from private health insurance, employer provided insurance, or directly acquired coverage. Medicare, Medicaid, direct purchase, and military coverage are options for public programs. Children receive insurance through either their parentsor through private insurance companies. Families from low income households may be able to qualify for Medicaid or children’s health insurance program. Insurance unemployed citizens is based on income and household size, to determine what they are eligible to receive. Retired adults over the age of 65 are covered by Medicare. In some circumstances an individual may be able to qualify for Medicare and Medicaid.
