It contains roots so that teeth can grow. This is the only moveable bone in the skull, it is able to move with the help of the joint in the temporal bone (which is located in front of each ear.) Ribs: The ribs has twelve pairs of bones, there a different kind of rib bones such as floating ribs, true ribs and false ribs that all form the sides of the thorax. Spine: 9/14/11 Clavicle: The clavicle or the collar bone is a thin rod-like bone, there is one on each side of the anterior of the neck(the left & right.) One end of the clavicle bone connects to the manubrium which is the middle frontal bone of the rib cage. The other end of the clavicle bone connects to the scapula (shoulder blade.)
