I chose to do Zumba because I had recently heard a lot of good things about it. Many of my friends have done it and have always recommended that I try it and I failed to do so, until now. The instructor started by giving us a background as to what Zumba was (I’m sure everybody who was new to the class was wondering, including myself) and I learned it was a Latin- originated form of exercise that involves dancing and moving to the beat of Spanish music. I would say that my fitness level before this experience was completely non- existent. I seldom exercise because I don’t really have the time to squeeze in an hour of cardio when I can use that hour to read for classes or do other assignments. Although I may look physically fit and I usually get asked “well how do you stay so thin?”, I am the furthest person away from being healthy. As far as expectations go, I expected for it to be kind of easy, low stress, and even lower physical activity. To be honest, I didn’t really expect to break a
