Alex Zanesco Lab 1 - Verifying Resistor Colour Codes using an Ohmmeter Purpose: Understanding the use of the resistor colour code chart as well as practicing our skill with the resistance function of the multi-meter. Method: Firstly, solve the colour code for each code value given. Secondly, predict the range. Thirdly use the multi-meter and set it to the correct setting to measure resistance and measure the actual value for each resistor. Results: Conclusion: In conclusion there is a small difference in between the code value and the actual value for each resistor used during the lab. The reason for this is because the resistor colour code chart can only produce numbers without decimals. That is also the reason for which there is a bar at the end which determines the tolerance.
