(See schedule below for exact meeting times, as we will not meet every week.) Course objectives 1. To gain experience in a workplace setting or research project related to public health, planning and policy, or urban studies 2. To learn and apply basic job-related skills 3. To test out an area of potential career interest Internship hours A 6-credit internship (public health) requires a minimum of 225 hours of work, and a 3-credit internship (urban studies, planning and policy) requires a minimum of 125 hours of work to be completed by May 1, 2007. You may count time spent at the internship site, off-site work (e.g., field inspections, conferences), writing/revising your project or other major documents, and reading, library work, or Internet research related to your project. You may also count time spent You may NOT count commuting time, Friday class sessions, or time writing/revising your logs. You cannot be paid for your internship.
