SC Johnson Company By Narinder Schoeling 2 SC Johnson Company In the following paper I will investigate the SC Johnson Company and the use of their visual communication to consumers to help sell their products. I will clearly describe the complexity of their message intended to have consumers by their product over another. I will clear describe at least three approaches to visual communication that they us. SC Johnson Company communicate to its consumers that their products are the best products around and they use all mediums to be able to promote their products. I will show how they use symbols and signs, how they use shapes and colors, how they use images and groups of images, and how they use cartoons and illustrations to get the consumer interested in their products. In addition to the visuals communication used I will reflect on how each visuals communicational approach is effective in communicating their message to us the consumers. I will also illustrate which approach I feel is the most effective in get their product sold. Visual Communication Visual communication is defined by Wikipedia as communication through visual aid. It is the conveyance of ideas and information in forms that can be read or looked upon. It is primarily associated with two dimensional images, which includes: signs, typography, drawing, graphic design, illustration, color and electronic resources. It solely relies on vision as a form of communication with visual effects. There exists a variety of ways to present information visually, through the presentation of text, pictures, diagrams, photos, and etc. The new and growing form of visual communication is in the field of web design and graphically oriented usability. Visual communication on the World Wide Web is perhaps the most important form of communication to date. Visual communication is done through illustration, cartoons,
