Unformatted text preview: I have decided to choose to write on student safety on field t rips and what the responsibilities of a teacher are during that time with the students according to school restrictions. When speaking on the responsibility of a teacher there is no more important for that come into place during a field t rip. The teacher has a great responsibility but it is not completely on the teacher to the extent where everything completely lies in their hands no matter what happens, but they do have much responsibility. Let me explain, the teacher is liable during field trips for the students when there is any foresee ability of such harm exists for them. For an example something could be the teachers fault if they are not paying attention to what the students are doing or because of a poor decision they make that leads to the harm of the students. Many times the teachers cannot stop a student completely from doing something which can make it unclear if the teacher is still responsible or not. The teacher has to tell the students what their limits and restrictions are before leaving the school to go on the field t rip, they need to tell them all the rules and regulations from leaving the school to go on the bus to how they should be at their designation on the field...
