PRELAB ASSIGNMENT 3 BASIC CONCEPTS AND REAL INSTRUMENTS RESISTOR, CAPACITOR AND INDUCTOR CONSTITUTIVE RELATIONS 1. STEP RESPONSE OF A RC CIRCUIT A series RC circuit is very useful for applications in which you need a brief pulse of current. Construct the given RC circuit using MultiSim. On the function generator select a square wave with a frequency of 75 Hz, amplitude 6 Vp and DC offset of 6 Volts (you will see and square wave that oscillates between 0 and 12 volts on channel A ). Remember the parameters can be adjusted by double clicking on the function generator. The signal in channel A is your input signal and the signal in channel B is the voltage across the capacitor. Answer the question in your Prelab report.
