PRELAB ASSIGNMENT 7 BOOLEAN ALGEBRA - LOGIC GATES KARNAUGH MAPS & COMBINATIONAL LOGIC 1. VENDING MACHINE You are asked to build a combinational logic circuit for a vending machine. The machine has sensors that detect a quarter, a dime or a nickel. The vending machine provides sodas at 25 cents, chocolates at 10 cents and potato chips at 5 cents. The customer is only allowed to insert one coin in order to get only one product. The machine has the following controls and indicators: The input coin and snack will be binary numbers resulting in four inputs. See table for values and diagram below. (i.e. The customer will need to press 11 in the coins section and 10 in the snacks section if he or she is using a quarter and wants chocolate) One indicator will show if the snack is delivered. Indicators for the denomination of the first and second coins that are given as change, where the first coin has the highest denomination. If no snack is delivered then the input coin will be returned. Develop the necessary combinational logic using Karnaugh’s maps and then implement the
