1.When collecting evidence it is important to mark or identify each piece of evidence because in the courts you need strong evidence to be able prove your case. Also when testing firearms or examining the bullets then you can make sure that the evidence is all from the same case. With the bullets having the correct initials in the correct spot also helps with examining them and keeping theimportant marks on the bullet that can later be tested. When a firearm is tagged itcan help in the courts because it has information such as the serial number, initials from the investigator, and the correct case number, which will help with having strong reliable evidence. On the other hand, if these procedures are not followed then the evidence can be lost in other cases or just completely ruined. 2.The most interesting aspect about working with firearm evidence would have to be comparing the bullets under the comparison microscope.
