High prices have always been a key issue for college students because students are already paying such exorbitant prices for tuition and living expenses that books and other college necessities should not nearly as much as bookstores charge for them. We subverted the original argument through the use of visual design of the advertisement as well as the similarity of the altered design to the original. The original advertisement for the Campus Bookstore in Ames has the letters CBS across the front inside of the cover of books. Also, the original has a web address cbsames.com along the top of the picture and the slogan Cyclone Outfitters Since 1973 below the books.
