Executive Summary Where do you fit in today’s healthy weight range? Today, America is still facing its toughest challenge that will simply have no end. Being overweight and obesity in the United States affects 80% of all Americans over 25 years old and everyone is always looking for the quick solution [1]. The fact of the matter is, it takes effort. We have created an insightful tool to help motivate the user to get out there and workout, boosting your body’s ability to burn fat and build muscle. We wanted to create a device that wasn’t just another late night infomercial related craze that produced no results. With this in mind, we created an extensive and intelligent application that allows the user to time manage, customize, and perform their own full workouts. At the same time, they can keep tabs on their progress for weight progress and further motivation to continue using the application and losing weight. The application allows the user to ergonomically navigate through a series of easy to used buttons and shortcuts to create a custom workout using pictures. Along with the pictures, the user is open to create their own playlist to their liking that will play while working out. In the end, the intelligence of the application keeps the user going. Notification popup windows, voice recordings to play during breaks in the music to redirect workout, progress input charts, as well as rating your workout for future reference, are what separate this app from any other on the market. This report will identify our design alternatives to our primary choice, explain each one in detail, and break down our limitations to creating what we believe, when used correctly, is the best solution for the overweight population.
