Second Mid Term Exam e second mid rm exam will be held in class on Tuesday April 5th. The second mid term exam will be held in class on Tuesday April 5th. I remind you that your course grade will be determined as follows: Homework + Project + Quizzes 30% assEam 1 5% In class Exam 1 15% In class Exam 2 20% Final Comprehensive Exam 35% Total: 100% There will be no make up exams. If you miss one of the mid term exams and you have a valid excuse then y y the other mid term will count for 35% of your course grade. If you miss a mid term exam and you don’t have a valid excuse then you will score zero for that mid term exam. Second Mid Term Exam The second mid term exam will be closed book and closed notes. u ILL eed a calculator for the exam. You WILL need a calculator for the exam. The exam questions will be similar to the homework questions: Twelve questions worth 1 point (1 2 word answers) n questions worth 2 points (short sentence answers) Ten questions worth 2 points (short sentence answers) Ten questions worth 3 points (short paragraph + diagram answers) Two questions worth 4 points (short calculations) ne question worth 10 points (long calculation) One question worth 10 points (long calculation) The exam is similar in style to the last one with the following differences: The questions are more focused (NOTE: the word “explain” is not used at all) have purposely made it a little longer I have purposely made it a little longer I will be posting the following items on Scholar in the next day or so to help you study: A detailed study guide containing the sorts of questions to expect he formula sheet for the exam to help you revise the equations Joseph Baker (ECE Dept) ECE 2984: Exploration of Space Lecture 18: Communications and Power The formula sheet for the exam to help you revise the equations Are there any questions or concerns regarding the second mid term exam?
