Galiana Associate Examiner: Prof. G. Joos (1) Consider the economic dispatch of a system with two generators whose incremental costs in $/MWh are given by 25+0.02g 1 and 25+0.05g 2 . Find the generation dispatch for each generator as a function of the demand level d in MW. If d increases by 1 MW, in what proportion is this extra demand assigned to each generator. Explain. Assume that the demand d is high enough for both generating units to operate above zero output. (2)
