Lambert Tamin 4/12/2011 Kalan Intro to Marketing Industry Analysis 1. How much power do suppliers have over you? a. The power of each of the suppliers for this product is very limited due to the fact that the product requires multiple components in order to construct the final, finished product. Supplies are needed from electrical companies. Since so many different companies can supply the parts needed for this product, the bargaining power for the other companies is weak while “Portable Paradise” has a lot of bargaining power since it is the only product of its kind and it is not a duplicate of any other invention. 2. Threat of New Entrants a. This product will have a 20 year patent through our company since it is a brand new item never before seen in the marketplace. For the time period we have the patent, the threat of new entrance will be very low. 3. Substitutes a. The only possible substitutes for a unique product such as this would be either clothing.
