FIRST 50 LETTERS OF TITLE GO HERESection 1: Case ReviewThe following analysis will review an employment issue that occurred involving two employees of New Brand Design Inc (NBD), which is a subsidiary of Colossal Corporation. NBD is incorporated out of Delaware in the United States, but the operations of the company are located within Serafini, which is a small country in Eastern Europe. NBD designs, brands, and manufactures innovative electronic products for global distribution. There are 100 local national employees within the Serafini facility, and they are managed by a board of ten multinational executives. Six of these executives are from the United States, three are local from Serafini, and one is from Italy (UMGC, 2020).The two employees that are involved within this issue are Elena and Viktor, whom both are members of the executive board for NBD and just so happen to be local nationals from Serafini. The issue they both have is that they recently learned that their salaries and benefits packages are drastically lower and nowhere near as comprehensive compared against the other eight executive board members. Therefore, Elena and Viktor both filed formal complaints with the Human Resource Director, Max Ciccone for the discrepancy in salary and benefits (UMGC, 2020). Mr. Ciccone explained to Elena and Viktor that their salaries are determined based off of their limited experience compared to the other board members. Elena and Viktor did not accept Mr. Ciccone’s explanation, so they threatened to sue because they have equal experience and qualifications to at least three of the other board members that are from the United States. Mr. Ciccone has brought these complaints to NBD’s main office within the United States in order to try and determine the best possible solution to address the issue. The solution that the main office within the United States determined was the best course of action was to terminate Elena and Viktor. They are being replaced by Michael and Beth who are also from the United

Michael is 66 years-old with a lot of experience as an executive, he previously served asthe CFO for another Colossal international subsidiary. Beth is 42 years-old and she has been in management for 15 years.
